DENR Secretary's Award for Drinking Water Excellence -

The South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has announced that Big Sioux Community Water System  & our systems certified operators have been awarded a Secretary's Award for Drinking Water Excellence. This award is for outstanding water system operations and environmental compliance with state drinking water standards for more than ten consecutive years.

Our operators are David Bennett, Michael Headrick, Bruce Cramer, James Doyle & Jeff Carruthers.

"The recipients of the DENR Secretary's Award for Drinking Water Excellence have been producing and delivering water to their customers that has been in full compliance with the Safe Drinking Waer Act for more than ten consecutive years," said DENR Secretary Steve Pirner. "This accomplishment makes them the best of the best drinking water managers  and operators in the state."

Big Sioux CWS held it's 40th annual meeting on April 3, 2012 -
Chairman Dan Carlson and Secretary/Treasurer Andy Gross were recognized for their 40 years of service on the Board of Directors at the meeting and consumers were treated to a piece of cake from this large sheet cake!



 
New Fees Effective January 1, 2012 -
Notice: As of January 1, 2012 the Collection Fee will be $35.00, the Delinquent Reconnect Fee will be $50.00, and the Penalty Fee for late payments, applied the last business day of the month, will be $5.00.
